Get your child in the swim of things this Easter
Children and young teenagers can improve their swimming skills with our friendly, experienced coaches in the run up to Easter.
We’re running four-day courses in our fantastic pool for a range of abilities between Monday 11th and Thursday 14th April – and everyone taking part will be awarded with a certificate and swim hat to mark their achievements.
The 30-minute sessions, which are in addition to our regular swimming lessons, are for youngsters aged between four and 16. They will run between 9am and 10am each day, and will focus on three abilities:
- Beginners – working though basic swimming skills, such as front crawl backstroke, floating and general water confidence (Barrow Park swimmers on levels 1, 2 and 3).
- Intermediate – progressing through all four strokes; front crawl backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, as well as other swimming skills like push and glides (Barrow Park swimmers on levels 4 and 5).
- Advanced – working on all four strokes, building confidence on swimming these for more distance and more advanced water skills such as diving and sculling (Barrow Park swimmers on levels 6 and 7).
Each group is being kept to eight swimmers to ensure they get the best out of the advice from our brilliant coaches.
There will be two groups for beginners and one each for intermediate and advanced starting at 9am, with the same again starting at 9.30am.
The discounted price is £32.50 per swimmer for members (including swim lesson members), and £35 per swimmer for non members.
You can book places at reception, or by phone on 01229 871 146. Booking is available until the morning of the first day, although places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay!
